with in my mind i know,
that you waited to make the blow;
the one that would leave me
in a puddle of my misery.
in my mind i know,
you thought you might glow;
turning everything to dust,
in the end you crushed.
in my mind you waited,
thinking i was the one you hated;
i cared to much for all,
so you had to try to slam me in the wall.
in my soul i cried,
no one can say i didnt try;
i wanted to help you,
but i just ended up turning blue.
in my soul i screamed,
wanting to give you that sunbeam;
to make you see the light,
that you would be all right.
in my heart you squirmed,
taking advantage of it like a worm;
i was the stand in, the substitute,
thinking id be the prostitute.
in my mind you poisoned,
but you thought you had good reason;
you justified your rage,
by traping me in that cage.
in my mind you faltered,
cause you knew what i offered;
yet you pissed on it and ran away,
thinking of a someday.
in my soul you stabbed,
tearing and stripping what i had;
in the end you got nothing,
just what you had coming.
